Conlegno recognized as Monitoring Organization in Italy

Conlegno (www.colegno.eu) is one of the first two Monitoring Organization (inspection bodies) approved by the European Union, the only 100 percent “Made in Italy”.
Official confirmation from the European Commission, by decision of August 19, communicated to the Consortium on August 27, Conlegno – Consorzio Servizi Legno-Sughero  – was officially recognized as a supervisory body for Italy, also receiving the approval of Due Diligence system developed by the Consortium in recent months.
Active in all 28 countries of the European Union, Regulation focuses on the legality of the wood product and mainly to curb the processes of deforestation and to stop any practice of illegal logging and has as its primary objective the arrest of the introduction on the market of illegal timber in Europe.
