Ligna 2013: presented the first data

During the final press conference of Ligna 2013 in Hannover, on Friday May 10, the first figures were announced. 90 thousand visitors, of which 40 per cent from a hundred countries (there were about 88 thousand in 2011). Strong growth in arrivals from North America (3 thousand visitors, 52 percent more than in 2011).
WolfgangPoeschl, President of Weinig and Vdma, underlines the strong share of visitors from North America, Eastern Europe and Asia. Results made possible by the spirit of cooperation that exists between exhibitors and trade fair organization. In conclusion of his speech Poeschl emphasizes that this edition was the best of the past four years.
Satisfaction expressed also by HeinerWemhoener, which speaks of how the Ligna fair “number one” in the industry, where they meet so many players in the industry, so many innovations and so many technologies fully functional. Emphasised the numerous arrivals from Turkey, Asia and North America, but also the interest of Eastern Europe.
Among the guests at the final press conference, Raphael Prati, communications director of Scm Group. He mentioned that this is the most important “promotional” investment and records the great interest of visitors, especially from Northern Europe.
Prati confirms the effectiveness of the event and the need to be able to do more and more, together, to make sure that the time that visitors spend in Hanover, necessarily more and more short, can always be more effective.
Bernhard Dirr, Director of the German Association of manufacturers of machines and technologies for wood, underlines the validity of the technical proposals presented at Hanover and effectiveness of having structured the halls reducing distances and, therefore, greater comfort.
Dirr then concluded by pointing out that 99 per cent of the members of the Vdma have judged their presence at Ligna an investment that has yielded significant results.
