Furniture finishing and gluing: the way to sustainability

For some time now, a key topic in any human activity has been sustainability, the most efficient use of resources to achieve results in line with your objectives. This focus has clearly involved the whole universe of coatings and adhesives for wood and wood-based materials, essential aspects for industrial furniture production. Xylexpo hosts four meetings dedicated to different aspects of the furniture production process, an in-depth analysis based on the collaboration between the Giulio Natta” Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano and Catas, Europe’s leading laboratory for tests, research and education in the wood-furniture industry. The round of meetings is sponsored by Poliefun, an association created at Politecnico di Milano to gather surface finishing companies and universities, promoting the development of enterprise culture, research and innovation.

Xylexpo – the biennial international exhibition of technologies for the wood and furniture industry – will host the meetings from Tuesday 8 to Friday 11, from 2.30 pm to 4 pm at the Xylexpo Arena, the place for meetings and debates in hall 4, stand C31/D32.
