Ligna Hannover 2011

Innovative, efficient and trendsetting: this is Ligna Hannover 2011 – reference point of forestry and wood industry  that from May 30 to June 3, 2011 will give the opportunity to exhibitors and visitors from around the world to propose topics and trends oriented to the future of this industry.
“We can already anticipate that there will be present all major reference companies. In all areas there will be many news to see …”, says Stephan Ph. Kühne, board member of Deutsche Messe.
Kühne foresees Ligna 2011 will settle on the same levels of 2009 event, although not all the categories of the industry went completely out of the difficult economic situation.
“About 1700 exhibitors are expected from around fifty countries. These are companies that, with the presentation of their innovations, want to launch a new phase of development, “announced Kühne. More than half of Ligna’s exhibitors come from outside Germany. The 2009 edition registered 80 thousand visitors from 90 countries. Of these, 95 percent were industry operators with high decision-making power.
The exhibition program of Ligna 2011 includes − in addition to the forestry and forestry technology (displaying the open-air site and in the pavilions under the Expo canopy ) − the sawmill technology and panel and veneer production technology (Hall 27), solid wood working in Halls 12 and 13, the furniture production technology in Halls 22 to 26, bio-energy from wood (open area, little Pavilions and Pavilion 13) and crafts, wood & other (Handwerk, Holz & Mehr) in Halls 11, 12 and 14 to 17.
