Lago: an excellent 2025

New horizons and new markets. The year 2025 closed on a positive note for Lago, , one of the leading players in the design and furniture sector. A year marked by new openings, the strengthening of international presence, and a strategy focused on selective and sustainable growth. “2025 was a year of intense work on the strategic and organizational front. We chose to grow selectively, focusing on key markets and on a model capable of generating long-term value. The results in the contract segment, together with the strength of the pipeline and the development of Americas Corp and Lago Project, as well as the strengthening of our presence in the APAC area — with dedicated resources also in the Chinese market — confirm that the direction we have taken is the right one,” emphasized Gilberto Negrini, CEO of Lago.

During 2025, Lago completed 23 total openings, including stores, points, and special projects. In Italy, 8 new locations were inaugurated, including the Milan Durini Flagship Store, in the heart of the city’s Design District.
Abroad, the brand opened 15 new spaces, strengthening its presence in strategic markets such as Bulgaria, Montenegro, Panama, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland. This expansion took shape through different formats — stores, capsules, and projects — capable of interpreting the brand’s DNA in diverse cultural and commercial contexts.

Particular attention was devoted, as explained by Negrini, to international development through Lago Americas Corp, the business unit dedicated to growth in the North and South American markets, and Lago Project, the tailor-made service for large contract and corporate projects, which makes it possible to bring the excellence of Lago design into customized contexts, spanning residential, hospitality, and commercial spaces. These initiatives demonstrate the brand’s ability to adapt its language to complex, innovative, and globally scalable projects.

From an economic standpoint, the contract segment recorded growth of approximately 20 percent compared to 2024, confirming the strength of demand and the effectiveness of the commercial strategy adopted. A result that highlights Lago’s ability to move with coherence and vision within a complex macroeconomic scenario, strengthening a resilient business model oriented toward the long term.

The focus is now on the future. 2026 is shaping up to be a year of strong acceleration, with a pipeline of around thirty new openings, confirming an increasingly central and structured internationalization strategy. At the same time, the contract segment is looking toward a perspective of double-digit growth, further strengthening LAGO’s positioning in highly complex, large-scale international projects.

Growth that is not measured solely in numbers, but above all in the ability to generate culture, vision, and relationships through design. As Daniele Lago, president and head of design of Lago, explains: “Every project is an opportunity to shape new ways of living and experiencing spaces. We believe in a design that can create connections, emotions, and value for people. Our goal is to bring this vision all over the world, expressing our language through tailor-made projects. It is with this perspective that we continue to grow, bringing beauty, innovation, and Italian thinking to the world.”
