The Middle East continues to represent an area of strong dynamism for the furniture sector and wood-processing technologies. This is not merely market enthusiasm, but the result of structural investments, new real estate developments and a growing demand for contract and workspace solutions. In this context, Saudi Arabia is strengthening its position as an access platform to an evolving regional supply chain, increasingly open to international collaboration.
Confirming this trend is Orgatec Workspace Saudi Arabia 2025, which in its first edition attracted over 4,000 industry professionals from 34 countries. The event brought together more than 100 exhibitors – representing 14 nations – active in office furniture, contract, components and technologies for work environments. The official opening, led by the Riyadh Chamber, highlighted the Saudi institutions’ commitment to supporting a supply chain that encompasses architecture, interior design, manufacturing and fit-out services.
The visitor profile reflects a diversified market: agents and distributors made up the largest share of attendees, followed by manufacturing companies, interior designers, fit-out firms, architectural practices and consulting companies. This heterogeneity is significant for suppliers in the wood-furniture sector, as it touches every phase of a project — from design to execution to space management. Most visitors came from Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Egypt, Turkey, Kuwait and Qatar, countries where corporate offices, hospitality and educational infrastructure continue to generate new supply opportunities.
Riyadh also hosted buyers and decision makers from major groups active in corporate, hospitality, real estate and service sectors — an opportunity that, for many exhibitors, marked a first direct contact with local value chains. Alongside the exhibition area, the workspace-focused Summit brought together consultants, designers and international professionals engaged on themes of sustainability, workplace wellbeing and technological integration.
Orgatec Workspace will return to Riyadh from 13 to 15 September 2026.
