To mark the occasion of its 34th edition, the International fair for machinery and tools for the wood industry (Fimma-Maderalia) will be showing a window production line alongside the commercial content of the fair. This innovative project will give professionals in the wood and ancillary industries the opportunity to see an important event comprising live demonstrations of advanced systems for manufacturing wooden windows. As Fimma-Maderalia director Miguel Bixquert has explained, this is a segment of the industry that has a promising future. “The construction of public and private buildings, and house renovation all required high quality walls and roofs he claims, in order to achieve the energy efficiency stipulated by the Technical code for construction (Cte). Windows made of wood are simply one of the best options on the market and we will be proving this at this years Fimma through explanations in situ and live demonstrations”.
A number of the leading suppliers of machinery, tools, software, certified wood, chemical products, fixings and glass that are exhibiting at Fimma are taking part in this new project. Visitors will on the one hand be able to watch a method of production that uses modern, flexible machinery that can deliver to any specification from the end customer, with no kind of restrictions at all. The project will also be used to explain to visitors how to organise a workshop and the logistics involved in setting up a modern system all with a view to achieving optimum quality windows and improving the productivity and safety of the process.
