As a result, the international company with its headquarters in Nagold said it shut down numerous systems worldwide as a preventive measure and disconnected them from the Internet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company reports that the extent of the impact in the group of <strong>companies<\/strong> is currently being assessed and how the system landscape can be restored as quickly as possible.<br \/>\n\u201c<em>Currently, there is no knowledge of an outflow of customer data, but this cannot be ruled out at the moment. H\u00e4fele works closely with the investigative authorities involved<\/em>\u201d, the manufacturer of furniture fittings informed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">H\u00e4fele is currently unable to provide any information as to when the systems will be fully operational again. Customers and suppliers can still reach their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hafele.com\/\">H\u00e4fele<\/a> contacts on their mobile phones. H\u00e4fele will inform about the progress and restoration of the services via the website and by direct mail.<\/p>\n<p>Gregor Riekena, Chief Excecutive Officer, communication:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Dear H\u00e4fele Partner,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>In continuation of our communication regarding a disruption of H\u00e4fele IT systems, after further investigation, it has become apparent that our company has been the target of a cyber attack from an external source. We currently have no knowledge of an outflow of customer data, but cannot rule it out at the present time.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This has resulted in us temporarily shutting down our IT systems for security reasons while we determine the extent of the attack and investigate how to restore our services as quickly as possible.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you and ask for your understanding in this extraordinary situation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As previously communicated, every effort is being made and all possible resources are being deployed to resolve this challenge as quickly as possible.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We will of course inform you as soon as we make progress in restoring our systems&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the beginning of February there was a cyber-attack at H\u00e4fele from an external source.
