Xylexpo 2022 was the occasion to \u201ctouch\u201d the new solutions developed by <strong>Zator<\/strong>, the company based in Cusano Milanino specializing in adhesive application systems. <br \/>\nWe took the opportunity to interview <strong>Alessandro Donati<\/strong>, sales manager at Zator, to take stock of the situation.<br \/>\n\u201c<em>2022 was a very <strong>positive<\/strong> year<\/em>\u201d, Donati said. \u201c<em>We managed to achieve excellent figures, and most of all, we had a constant workflow, month after month.<\/em> <em>An <strong>intensive<\/strong> year, rich of satisfaction\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What do you expect in 2023?<br \/>\n\u201c<em>Telling the future <strong>is never easy<\/strong>, even more in the current situation.<\/em> <em>We are waiting to see what happens, which external events will affect the markets.<\/em> <em>After two years with \u201cCovid-19\u201d and its long tail, in 2022 the conflict between Russia and Ukraine broke out, which \u2013 besides its human toll \u2013 caused a long chain of price increases, with soaring costs for energy and raw materials.<\/em> <em><br \/>\n<\/em><em>With this situation, we can hardly make any long-term forecast, we must be very cautious, ready to react whatever comes.<\/em> <em>We are carrying on, we are not going to stop.<\/em> <em>We cannot afford stopping, and most of all, we don\u2019t want to.<\/em> <em><br \/>\n<\/em><em>With a bit of irony, I might say we are getting accustomed to such situations.<\/em> <em>Since the \u201cfirst crisis\u201d in 2008, the production industry has been \u201csailing at sight\u201d for years.<\/em> <em>We are not afraid<\/em>\u201d.<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2960\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Zator-1-300x178.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Zator-1-300x178.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Zator-1-768x456.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Zator-1-600x356.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Zator-1-500x297.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Zator-1.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So, what are you going to do? <br \/>\n\u201c<em>We will keep <strong>investing<\/strong> in innovation and human capital, like we have been doing in the past few years.<\/em> <em>In 2022 we invested in the restyling of some valves, a new enterprise management software, a new machine tool to do more and more \u201cin house\u201d, further reducing our reliance on external suppliers, and we also added new valid resources to our staff.<\/em> <em>These moves are essential to keep growing\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What was it like coming back to Xylexpo? <br \/>\n\u201c<em>I would say it was really positive.<\/em> <em>We recorded high visitor attendance.<\/em> <em>Exhibitions are still important in our industry, but I believe exhibitors must change their point of view.<\/em> <em>Compared to a few years ago, the opportunities to see products also outside this kind of events have grown exponentially, you can easily find new companies and make contact.<\/em> <em>In the past, you had to visit an exhibition, now you can get in touch before.<\/em> <em>So, the trade fair is the place where you can \u201cclose\u201d the contact, where you can meet the customer in person, not just through a screen.<\/em> <em>The difference lies in the effectiveness of the contacts made during an exhibition.<\/em> <em>Compared to the past, the total number of contacts may be lower, but their quality and the \u201cconversion rate\u201d have increased.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cWe have perceived a clear desire to meet again at this edition of Xylexpo.<\/em> <em>Everyone missed meeting in person, and this was a great opportunity!\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">by Francesco Inverso<\/p>\n<p>zator.it<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Excellent 2022 and \u201cinnovation\u201d as the keyword for the near future.
