In a company’s digital transition process, one of the aspects to pay special attention to is the integrated maintenance management of production equipment. In order to maintain the production efficiency of a workshop at high levels, state-of-the-art machinery is necessary, but a maintenance management system for all components is equally essential so that the production cycle does not suffer unnecessary slowdowns.
\nIn this particular area, Egalware<\/strong>, building on its decades of experience in producing MES and SCADA software, has developed a suite of products dedicated to integrated maintenance management.<\/p>\n

Egalware’s “WebGim<\/strong>” software, for example, makes it possible to track the ordinary, extraordinary, periodic and preventive maintenance of plants, as well as the management of the spare parts inventory also through an advanced reporting system that can be integrated with the most popular ERP systems, with a single program accessible from a Web interface.<\/p>\n

Every single intervention, from the request to the complete follow-up to the material used for repairs, is recorded through simple forms that require only a browser to be used. The entire history of each machine, plant or component becomes the basis of corporate know-how on which to build the most advanced business intelligence experiences and analyses. “Webgim” then provides the complete history of all extraordinary and scheduled interventions for each plant, machinery or component. Notifications can be sent through the system’s workflow, via e-mail or printed directly to department managers each morning for faster action.<\/p>\n

“In line with the company’s philosophy that is particularly focused on the intelligent management of production processes, we are finalizing the development of the Dashboard<\/strong> module that will interface directly with the new-generation machines already natively set up for network connectivity, effectively making the monitoring of both scheduled interventions and alarms transmitted by the plant automatic.
\n<\/em>Interfacing will be automatic with plants natively capable of network connection (e.g., if they are equipped with protocols such as OPC-UA and MT-Connect), but it will be possible to evaluate customized implementations if necessary.
