It will be a meaningful edition, with celebrations for the 60th anniversary and a return to &#8220;normal&#8221;, the first &#8220;real&#8221; edition after the pandemic and the special &#8220;Supersalone&#8221; event that was held in 2021 on a smaller scale.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-26639\" src=\"https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/FLA-Maria-Porro-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/FLA-Maria-Porro-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/FLA-Maria-Porro-170x170.png 170w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The anniversary comes in a &#8220;peculiar&#8221; moment, with the conflict between Russia and Ukraine impacting on the beginning of 2022, shuffling all the cards, and once again, forcing everyone to look for strong points to start over. \u201c<em>The Salone del Mobile has always been a catalyst for creativity, positivity and energy\u201d, <\/em>said <strong>Maria Porro<\/strong>, president of the Salone del Mobile.Milano<em>. \u201cIt is a generator of beauty, inclusion and new opportunities. We have always been a place of dialogue and construction, in Milan and at the Shanghai and Moscow editions. Now, we are as shocked as everyone else by the war in Ukraine and believe even more in the importance of being a crossroads of cultures and styles open to the world&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The 2022 edition will be rich of people and projects: almost 200,000 square meters of net exhibition surface and close to <strong>2,100 exhibitors<\/strong> &#8211; including 600 designers at SaloneSatellite, the event dedicated to under-35 design talents from all over the world &#8211; and a 25 percent share (SaloneSatellite excluded) of international companies.<br \/>\nSeven exhibitions will run concurrently besides <strong>SaloneSatellite<\/strong>: the <strong>Salone Internazionale del Mobile<\/strong>, the <strong>International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition<\/strong> and <strong>Workplace3.0<\/strong> \u2013 divided into Classic, Design and xLux categories\u2013 will be complemented by <strong>EuroCucina<\/strong> and its collateral event <strong>FTK<\/strong> (Technology For the Kitchen) and the <strong>International Bathroom Exhibition<\/strong>.
