{"id":17151,"date":"2021-11-15T12:11:39","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T11:11:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/2021\/11\/15\/eumabois-una-ripartenza-di-successo\/"},"modified":"2025-03-14T21:47:41","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T20:47:41","slug":"eumabois-una-ripartenza-di-successo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/en\/2021\/11\/15\/eumabois-una-ripartenza-di-successo\/","title":{"rendered":"Eumabois: a succesful restart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Eumabois<\/strong>, the European Federation of woodworking machinery and tools manufacturer, held its annual General Assembly on November 5<sup>th<\/sup>, 2021.<br \/>\nAfter substituting the onsite event with Eumabois first \u201cDigital General Assembly\u201d in 2020, the delegates and board members gathered again in presence in <strong>Vienna<\/strong>, hosted by the Austrian association <strong>FMTI<\/strong>, together with Eumabois president, <strong>J\u00fcrgen K\u00f6ppel<\/strong> and the vice president, <strong>Luigi De Vito<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The opening topic was the general outlook on the woodworking industry which has been showing a rapid and very positive recovery. The figures, despite the fact that also the woodworking industry suffers from high material costs and lack of raw material, indicate a <strong>sustained growth<\/strong> rate in the mid-term. The global demand remains high, as evidence of the good resilience of the sector in response to the crisis triggered by the Corona virus. Mega-trends such as digitalization and industrial automation, as well as a growing demand for home furniture and kitchens, stimulated by travel restrictions and the cocooning effect, are driving the woodworking industry, too.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the Eumabois Exhibition Network 2021, most of the shows have been canceled. On the other hand, a full calendar of trade fairs is planned for 2022 with two top exhibitions events: <strong>HolzHandwerk<\/strong> in Nuremberg in March and <strong>Xylexpo<\/strong> in Milan with a new date in October. The positive signals coming from the exhibition sector are an important step towards the normality confirming the value and relevance of face-to-face events.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting in Vienna was also used to officially launch the new Eumabois <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eumabois.com\/\">website<\/a> with completely renewed and modern graphics (we told you about this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/en\/2021\/07\/26\/eumabois-new-website\/\">here<\/a>). There were also important news on the technical projects side: <strong>OPCUA<\/strong> (Open Platform Communication Unified Architecture) got the marketing name \u201cIZY\u201d, which has been officially presented to the market during LIGNA.Innovation Network on September 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the Assembly, the president J\u00fcrgen K\u00f6ppel expressed his sincere thanks to the hosting association FMTI and to all the present national associations, stating: \u201c\u2026<em>I firmly believe that one of the key pillars for the growth of our industry is our joint European approach<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The next Eumabois General Assembly will be held on 22<sup>nd<\/sup>-23<sup>rd<\/sup> of September 2022 in the city of Krakow, Poland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eumabois, the European Federation of woodworking machinery and tools manufacturer, held its annual General Assembly on November 5th, 2021.
