Panguaneta \u2013 an Italian company based in Sabbioneta, near Mantua \u2013 aims at sustainable development<\/strong> in every area of \u200b\u200bthe supply chain<\/em>, through concrete actions: the individual work phases are certified and controlled and have already been included for a long time in the practice of circular economy.<\/h3>\n

The process of certification and calculation of Panguaneta<\/strong>‘s “Carbon Footprint<\/strong>” for the year 2019 – carried out with the LCA<\/strong> (Life Cycle Analysis) methodology – has shown that in recent years the total emissions of greenhouse gases<\/strong> have decreased not only thanks to the modernization of the production cycle, but also thanks to the start-up of a modern and efficient biomass thermal power plant. The latter allowed the abatement of methane combustion emissions leading to a reduction of direct Co2eq emissions of approximately 35 percent<\/strong>, going from approximately 10,000 tons in 2014 to 6,399 tons in 2018.<\/p>\n

This milestone confirms Panguaneta’s commitment to the entire production process, which in 2018 also obtained the Environmental Product Declaration (Epd): an important tool that affects the entire life cycle of the product (raw material, cutting , bonding, transport, emission values, waste management) useful for architects and designers in choosing the best products to meet the most rigorous environmental standards.<\/p>\n

The inventory of greenhouse gas emissions was made in accordance with the standard (UNI EN ISO 14064-1: 2012) ISO 14064 using a methodology for reporting greenhouse gases based on the guidelines of the GHG Protocol, drawn up by World Resources Institute and recognized by leading national programs.\"\"<\/p>\n

This calculation will be completed in the course of 2020 and subsequently the company will be committed to extending the inventory of greenhouse gases to the sources of indirect emissions<\/strong> present throughout the product value chain from a Life Cycle Perspective to identify any critical issues. Panguaneta also intends to prepare a three-year plan to reduce GHG emissions and compensate for residual greenhouse gas emissions from sources directly controlled by the company to reach the final goal of obtaining the Carbon Neutral<\/strong> certification of the entire company.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
