The final tally reveals that this latest edition of the fair, which ran from 19th to 22nd September just past received a total of 23,174 trade visitors from Spain and other countries, well above the most optimistic forecasts. The number is also a turning point for the fair, which tripled in size this year as it returned to its traditional dates in September. These two moves were justified by the final visitor numbers, which were a significant increase over the number recorded for the 2016 edition of the fair, when H\u00e1bitat was still being held in February alongside Cevisama and Fimma \u2013 Maderalia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As to where the professionals who visited Feria H\u00e1bitat Valencia barely two weeks ago, there was a notable proportion from abroad, with <strong>18 percent <\/strong>of all visitors hailing from a wide range of countries \u2013 from <strong>51 different markets <\/strong>in fact. More specifically, <strong>40 percent <\/strong>of these professionals came from the <strong>European Union<\/strong>, whilst <strong>Eastern Europe <\/strong>is becoming the second biggest source of visitors from the interiors industry, generating <strong>17 percent <\/strong>of all the accredited foreign visitors to the fair. Next were <strong>Latin America<\/strong>, which provided <strong>14 percent <\/strong>of all visitors, <strong>Asia <\/strong>(<strong>10 percent<\/strong>), <strong>North Africa <\/strong>(<strong>9 percent<\/strong>), <strong>North America <\/strong>(<strong>6 percent<\/strong>) and the <strong>Middle East <\/strong>(<strong>4 percent<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As to Spanish visitors, the <strong>Comunitat Valenciana<\/strong>, <strong>Catalonia <\/strong>and <strong>Madrid <\/strong>between them accounted for almost half of the Spanish professionals who flocked to H\u00e1bitat, fielding 31 percent, 14 percent and 12 percent of all Spanish visitors respectively. Next in order were visitors from <strong>Murcia<\/strong>, <strong>Andaluc\u00eda<\/strong>, <strong>Euskadi<\/strong>, <strong>Baleares<\/strong>, <strong>Arag\u00f3n<\/strong>, <strong>Castilla La Mancha <\/strong>and <strong>Galicia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In terms of the professional profiles of the visitors to the fair, two stand out in particular: <strong>retail professionals <\/strong>(shops selling furniture to the public) and <strong>specifiers <\/strong>(architects, decorators and designers) more closely involved in projects and the contract sector. Whilst these two profiles accounted for 37 percent and 21 percent of the bulk of visitors to H\u00e1bitat, other significant group were <strong>sales agents <\/strong>(12 percent of all visitors), <strong>buying groups <\/strong>(12 percent), <strong>wholesalers\/importers <\/strong>(10 percent) and professionals from the construction and property development sectors (8 percent). Along with these there were also other groups that, whilst not professionals in the strict sense of the word, were nonetheless a significant presence at the fair. These included <strong>students of design<\/strong>, for whom the Sal\u00f3n nude and \u00c1gora nude zone was the favourite space, and journalists and media professionals. In fact, this last edition of H\u00e1bitat accredited 253 journalists from 16 different countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the doors closed on a successful edition this year, the H\u00e1bitat team is already working flat out on the next fair and the date has already been set.
