The Group that continues to grow presents the pick of its production range starting from its innovative \u201cLean Robot Cell 4.0\u201d.<\/em> Two new software programs designed to make technology even more user friendly will also be unveiled. Scm supports \u201cGOTYOUR6\u201d, a program that empowers veterans.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Highly confident thanks to its continuously brilliant growth and outstanding performance in the first half of 2017 that has exceeded the successful results of the previous two years, Scm<\/strong> goes on stage at the Awfs tradefair in Las Vegas as a truly solid and reliable partner in the woodworking technology sector.<\/p>\n

2016 ended for Scm with a turnover of 600 million euros. Compared to 2015, this represents an increase of 15 per cent – a solid financial position that is further reinforced by good cash facilities. This extraordinary result has been driven mainly by the group’s woodworking sector that exceeded a turnover of 430 million euros, equivalent to an increase of over 15 percent.<\/p>\n

As far as the Northern America market (the United States, Canada and Mexico) is concerned, Scm <\/strong>ended 2016 with a solid two-figure growth, and major investments have been made to reinforce the service level offered. The Mexican branch has been extended in recent months, the group’s head offices in Atlanta are being restyled and the new base in Carson, just south of Los Angeles, is now ready for operation. All this means that the Scm now boasts a leading business network on the West Coast. In fact, the group’s direct and indirect presence has grown across the entire area of North America and Mexico, and an ambitious expansion plan has also been launched in Canada.<\/p>\n

In the vast area of the group’s AWFS booth (1200 square metres equivalent to 12,600 square feet), Scm will be presenting the excellence of its woodworking technology that can satisfy the needs of any manufacturer, from heavy duty industry to small craft workshops. Many of these technological breakthroughs can be used to process other materials too.<\/p>\n

Industry 4.0 remains solid. <\/strong>More specifically, visitors can see the \u201cLean Robot Cell 4.0\u201d<\/strong> at work. This system takes \u201cIndustry 4.0\u201d concepts and puts them to practical use. The system is completely automated, served by two anthropomorphic robots and requires only one operator. The \u201cLean Robot Cell 4.0\u201d system produces components for wardrobes and consists of a Morbidelli M600 nesting machining centre and a Stefani edge bander, fitted with a panel return device and a drilling centre. The cell uses standard, high performance, easy-to-use machines, operates automatically when the job is launched and has been designed to integrate perfectly with the customer’s production management system. The result is a system that can perform all the various machining stages, from semi-machined panels to machined panels.<\/p>\n

At the end of the process, the individual finished panels are also grouped into their different order lots by robots on special carriages, ready to be assembled in the CPC clamp. Production speed: 500 wardrobe panels every shift<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cLean Robot Cell 4.0\u201d <\/strong>is a highly advanced project that Scm has entered for the \u201cVisionary Challenge Award\u201d<\/strong> competition as it clearly demonstrates the level of excellence reached by the Scm Engineering Division.<\/p>\n

At the Awfs, Scm will be presenting thirty or so technological solutions to emphasize the strength and depth of its range. There are numerous new products, too, such as the new <\/strong>\u201c<\/strong>Mordibelli M 100<\/strong>\u201d<\/strong> and \u201c<\/strong>M 200<\/strong>\u201d<\/strong> machining centres<\/strong> that have been immensely successful worldwide since their release at the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n

New, even more user-friendly software programs.<\/strong> At the fair there will also be a special focus on the complementary services and products that allow Scm customers to improve their return on investment. In Las Vegas, Smartech and ScmConnect <\/strong>will also be unveiled. These two innovative software programs seek to render the group’s IT production technology even more user-friendly. Given the importance of Industry 4.0, Scm experts will also be attending the seminars given on digital innovations in the woodworking industry.<\/p>\n

In addition to exhibiting its production range at Awfs, the Scm Group will also have a second display space dedicated to different surface treatments where the Superfici brand will be presenting its hi-tech solutions.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Supporting veterans. <\/strong>The United States of America is a country that has always been extremely generous to Scm, a group that sees itself as an important part of this great nation. This is why the management has decided to support the \u201cGOTYOUR6\u201d initiative, a government-recognised institution that supports and empowers veterans.<\/p>\n

The Group is currently being rebranded. <\/strong>During 2017 Scm will become the single brand in the woodworking sector even if each model in its vast range will maintain its special characteristics and original brand name. In terms of the group, then, Scm will represent its woodworking technology, while Cms will hallmark its production technology for composites such as aluminium, plastic, wood, glass, stone and metal.<\/p>\n
