They are also ideal for industrial processing, just like other corresponding oil-derived products from ICA.<\/b><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;font-family:\"Verdana\",sans-serif;\nmso-ansi-language:EN-US\" lang=\"EN-US\">They have been formulated with acrylic-based resins and, compared to other products on the market made with alkyd resins from renewable sources, they are quicker drying, harder and possess greater non-yellowing properties.<span style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight:bold\"> <\/span>What is more, as compared to similar alkyd-derived products, &#8220;Iridea Bio&#8221; monocomponent and bicomponent coats are easier to sand and more resistant when subsequent coats are applied, meaning they can be used in intensive industrial processing cycles.<\/span><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Verdana\",sans-serif;\ncolor:black;mso-themecolor:text1;mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-bidi-font-weight:\nbold\" lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/>\nThe creation of an outstandingly innovative product like IRIDEA BIO was the result of several years of <b>study, experimentation and collaboration with a major international player in the chemical industry &#8211; DSM<\/b>.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Verdana\",sans-serif;\ncolor:black;mso-themecolor:text1;mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-bidi-font-weight:\nbold\" lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/>\nAcutely aware of the need for greater environmental sustainability, as early on as 2013, ICA Group&#8217;s research and development laboratories began to devise and run tests on a new formula with a view to improving ICA&#8217;s production mainstay &#8211; water-based coatings for interiors. <\/span><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Verdana\",sans-serif;\nmso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-bidi-font-weight:bold\" lang=\"EN-US\">The joint project with <span style=\"color:black;mso-themecolor:text1\">DSM, a technologically weighty partner with extensive experience <\/span>in producing resins from renewable sources, took the form of <b>introducing innovative materials derived from renewable sources into the formula for water-based coatings for interiors<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle\" style=\"margin-left:0cm;mso-add-space:auto\"><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Verdana\",sans-serif;\nmso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-bidi-font-weight:bold\" lang=\"EN-US\">&#8220;Iridea Bio&#8221; is the ICA Group&#8217;s latest technological breakthrough and it is a high-performance product in technical terms which fully respects the environment and the well-being of its end <\/span><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;\nfont-family:\"Verdana\",sans-serif;mso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";\nmso-bidi-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:\nIT\" lang=\"EN-US\">users.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Verdana\",sans-serif;\nmso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";mso-bidi-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";\nmso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:IT;mso-bidi-language:AR-SA\" lang=\"EN-US\"><br style=\"mso-special-character:line-break;page-break-before:always\" clear=\"all\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoListParagraphCxSpLast\" style=\"margin-left:0cm;mso-add-space:auto\"><span style=\"font-size:10.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:\"Verdana\",sans-serif;\nmso-fareast-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";mso-bidi-font-family:\"Times New Roman\";\nmso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:IT\" lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A fruitful collaboration project with the prominent Dutch firm DSM has given rise to a new water-based coatings line for interiors called &#8220;Iridea Bio&#8220;.
