King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden <\/b>during the award ceremony. Along with mathematician Alexander Katsevich<\/b>, visionary entrepreneur Federico Giudiceandrea <\/b>has received this important award.<\/span> The purpose of the Marcus Wallenberg Prize is to recognize, encourage and stimulate pathbreaking scientific achievements, which contribute significantly to broadening knowledge and to technical development within the fields of importance to forestry and forest industries.<\/span> The Marcus Wallenberg Price is an international price of SEK 2 million, instituted by Stora Kopparbergs Bergslags AB – now Stora Enso – in 1980 to commemorate the services rendered by Dr. Marcus Wallenberg during his long term as member and chairman of the Board of Directors.
