Scm Group<\/b>, the leading producer of industrial machinery and components for woodworking and advanced materials processing, boosts its presence in Australia. Gabbett Machinery<\/b>, the leading Australian woodworking machinery distributor and service provider, joins the Group to become Scm Group Australia.   <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For the Scm Group the incorporation of their Australian distributor – to take place during the month of July – is a natural consolidation of 20 years of fruitful collaboration with the Gabbett family. Thanks to this partnership, Scm Group Australia could rely on an extremely widespread territorial presence, with offices in five locations – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth – and a staff of 55 professionals . Scm Group is to continue its collaboration with Barry Gabbett, President, and Lee Gabbett, Managing Director and Member of the Board.  <\/span><\/p>\n

By completing this operation the Group can now consolidate and boost its market share in Australia, as  <\/span>Luigi De Vito<\/b>, Scm Group Woodworking Machinery Division Director, explains: “Our goal with the new addition is to expand our business in this country. Though we have achieved deep market penetration selling classic machines and technological solutions to joinery shops – which make up the vast majority of woodworking companies on the Australian market – we now wish to expand our operations by offering the Australian woodworking industry our entire range of solutions, the most extensive in the industry: from machining centres and edgebanding machines to solid wood machining, timber construction systems, sanding and finishing solutions, not to mention our exclusive Cms machinery range for processing wood, plastic, glass, stone and advanced materials<\/i>“.  <\/span><\/p>\n

Just as significant will be the Scm investment in improving its service, one of the key elements that have established the Group’s reputation, with an extensive training programme to ensure that every customer be provided with the most competent assistance in a timely manner.  <\/span><\/p>\n

“The Australian market offers a significant growth potential, if we consider that in 2015 our Woodworking Machinery Division had a +60 percent annual growth in the Asia & Pacific region. With our new branch and consequent expansion of our offer, we plan to bolster our operations and increase our growth. Australian companies are looking for solutions with automated and highly flexible cell systems, which we can easily provide offering a wide range of competitive products<\/i>“, concludes Luigi De Vito.   <\/span>

SCM GROUP at the AWISA 2016  <\/span>
\n<\/b>Scm Group participated in the Awisa 2016 fair, from 6 to 9 July at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Melbourne, where exhibited the latest technological solutions offered by the Group and its brands. Among the new products presented for the first time in Australia are the Scm “Pratix S<\/b>” machining centre for nesting processes, the Scm “Accord 25 fx 5-axis<\/b>” machining centre, and the The “Invincible SiX<\/b>” circular saw, a best-in-class product for small-and mediumsized companies as well as for big carpentry industries producing non-standard products or developing prototypes. Also on display will be the Morbidelli “Cyflex hp<\/b>” drilling centre, the Stefani “Solution MD<\/b>” industrial edgebander, the Scm “Olimpic K 560<\/b>” edgebander, which uses AirFusion technology, and the Scm “Olimpic K 360<\/b>” edgebander.<\/p>\n
