{"id":19210,"date":"2015-07-02T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-07-01T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/2015\/07\/02\/premio-schweighofer-2015tre-ingegneri-weinig-tra-i-vincitori\/"},"modified":"2025-03-17T10:28:13","modified_gmt":"2025-03-17T09:28:13","slug":"premio-schweighofer-2015tre-ingegneri-weinig-tra-i-vincitori","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.xylon.it\/en\/2015\/07\/02\/premio-schweighofer-2015tre-ingegneri-weinig-tra-i-vincitori\/","title":{"rendered":"Schweighofer Prize 2015:\nthree Weinig engineers among winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/schweigofer.jpg\" align=\"left\">Three Weinig engineers are among the illustrious group of winners of the 2015 <b>Schweighofer Prize<\/b>. <b>Richard Rister<\/b>, <b>Erhard Jung<\/b> and <b>Georg Reis<\/b> received the prestigious award for the innovative &ldquo;butt-joint block gluing&rdquo; technology in front of 700 invited guests in Vienna.<br \/>\nThe outstanding efficiency of the new technology is attributable to specific processes in planing, cross-cutting, gluing, joining and automation. Originally developed for producing central layers, the technology is extremely versatile in its application. The glued block is just an intermediate product for a range of other end products that can be manufactured on the same system by splitting as required. In their acceptance speech, the three winners said that they were convinced the innovation will open up new production potential for numerous companies in the wood industry worldwide. They also recognized the great importance of exchanging production experience as well as engineering and design know-how dur-ing development.
