Under the title “MatchworX 2.0”, Egger continues to develop the successful trend topic of 2014, and presents the professional public with new decors and surfaces for 2015 as part of the “Eggerzum” in-house trade fair. The creative handling of contrasts, within the proximity of seemingly contradictory desires for urbanisation & nature, thick & thin, hard & fine, plays a key role. <\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/b>The “MatchworX<\/b>” concept for the presentation of decor novelties in the spring of 2014 proved to be correct. It relies on the fact that the life of many people is now undergoing constant change due to the influence of globalisation and the flow of information. More than ever before, people want to constantly reinvent themselves. The home is a key expression of this feeling. “MatchworX 2.0” is even more precise in its approach to the style decisions of people. Parallel trends between complexity and reduction, and a mix-and-match approach define multilayered uses for materials to be used in tomorrow’s furniture design. <\/font><\/div>\n
Despite this complexity, new trends and influences are crystallizing and eclectically mixed, whilst still providing clear materiality. The search for the authentic and the original is now becoming apparent, after many “Used Look” materials, in the new “Industry Chic”, which is influenced by the cool charm of old factory halls. This is to be found, for example, in materials such as steel, concrete, and grade wood, reflected in the decors “F9651 Claystone Grey”, “F9639 Chromix Titan” and “H9461 Finnwood Grey”.<\/span><\/font><\/div>\n
In addition to the earthy-warm grey tones, cooler, partially light-coloured variants are now stepping in, characterising the “Glory of Grey<\/b>” of the decors “U707 Silk Grey”, “U899 Cosmos Grey” and “U710 Jade Grey”. They create a technically elegant contrast to the natural wood look. Cool blue tones set accents which communicate a trace of elegance, such as the use of “U540 Denim” or “U599 Indigo”. <\/span><\/font><\/div>\n
In the kitchen, worktops and splashbacks may provide a contrast to fronts and carcasses, or create a unit with the kitchen block. These different interplays require a wide range of calm and elegant stones, such as F9090 Archetipo Graphite, striking woods, such as “H9031 Robin Wood Steel”, or materials such as “F9640 Chromix Copper”, which are available on worktops and as front materials.<\/font><\/div>\n
It is not only the authentic appearance, but also the tactile feel that creates value and allows the most varied combinations for individual living styles. In the case of the “Feelwood” synchronised pore surfaces, the grain and the surface structure create a registered finish where the print and texture align. Highlights during “Eggerzum 2015” will be “H1180 Natural Halifax Oak” with the synchronised surface “ST37 Feelwood Rift”.<\/font><\/div>\n
