Its prestige is growing in parallel with the continually and rapidly increasing utilization of renewable energy.<\/p>\n<div>As usual, the ninth Progetto Fuocowill take place in Verona Exhibition Centre, where five of the halls are equipped for the display of working stoves, fireplaces and boilers.<\/div>\n<div>It is an exhibition for professional members of the trade, designers, technicians and business owners. Large numbers of them are expected to come from all over Europe and various countries further afield. On Saturday and Sunday, they will be joined by consumers, who are showing more and more interest in the alternatives offered by wood as a form of renewable fuel and growing awareness of the advantages of using cutting-edge stoves and fireplaces. They are safe, aesthetically appealing, simple and a practical way of heating an entire house. They give great savings in costs and outstanding comfort without harming the environment.<\/div>\n<div>Italy&rsquo;s &ldquo;<strong>Renewable Heat Incentive<\/strong>&rdquo; now provides an additional reason to choose biomass-fuelled equipment. It was introduced by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development in a Legislative Decree of 28\/12\/2012 that was published in issue 1 of the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic of 02\/01\/2013 and entitled &ldquo;Incentives for the generation of renewable heat energy and small-scale energy efficiency schemes&rdquo;. A presentation of the decree was given on 8 February this year during a convention at Verona Exhibition Centre organized by <strong>Aiel <\/strong>(the Italian Agro-forestry Energy Association) <strong>in association with Progetto Fuoco<\/strong>. It has introduced a <strong>range of incentives for the generation of renewable heat energy and small-scale energy efficiency schemes, which also cover the biomass sector<\/strong>. It provides important support for renewable heating and will give significant benefits for the environment while also helping to develop the renewable heating market. The legislative decree was introduced at the same time as another decree for Energy Efficiency Credits, which established new energy saving objectives and boosted the incentives mechanism.<\/div>\n<div>The incentives promote the use of stoves and fireplaces, and the crisis and fuel prices are also bringing about a return to these forms of heating, which seemed to have been consigned to the past but now represent the future. According to the Italian &ldquo;Coldiretti&rdquo; agriculture confederation, the mass return to the use of stoves and fireplaces is down to the fact that wood and wood products are inexpensive and do not harm the environment due to their status as &ldquo;green&rdquo; fuels. Another factor is the availability of innovative solutions. New high-tech equipment and systems have revolutionized the field. The Italian industry caters to more than 90% of the national demand for wood and pellets, while also managing to export a substantial proportion of its output (approximately 30%).<\/div>\n<div>The design and appearances of the products also have a positive impact on the choices of consumers, who place great importance on the range of materials, finishes, forms and colours on offer. There are countless possibilities for these items, which can now complement any decorative style.<\/div>\n<div>In 2014, Progetto Fuoco will also showcase the technological developments in the collection and packaging of firewood.
