Based on recent research on the market for electric converters for the automation of production, Frost & Sullivan<\/b> has awarded the European prize “Product Line Strategy 2013<\/b>” to Control Techniques <\/b>for the success of the recent series of converters “Unidrive M<\/b>“, designed specifically for the production sector.<\/p>\n

“According to our research, the European market for electric converters stood on three billion dollars in 2012 and is expected to grow at compound annual rate of 3.7 percent until 2017<\/i>,” said Sivakumar Narayanaswamy, Market Research Manager at Frost & Sullivan. “The automation of production accounts for a significant share of this market and the range of Control Techniques “Unidrive M “is one of the most comprehensive range of inverters in the world for manufacturing automation applications<\/i>“.<\/p>\n

Each model in the range has a completely open development environment. Thanks to this feature, designers of machines that use the converters have available an extremely wide choice of machine components, not being limited by closed systems. The drive for “Unidrive M” uses the development environment Codesys with the industry standard programming languages ​​according to IEC 61131-3 and Ethernet standard for communication between drives and other devices such as industrial plc.
\nThe high performance of these converters also allow manufacturers to improve the productivity of their machines through an advanced control of the motors.
