It is the leading showcase for frameworks, wooden houses, structural woodwork, timber, staircases, panelling, semi-finished goods, wooden flooring, machinery, tools and other products for processing wood.<\/p>\n<div>The eighth <strong>Legno&amp;Edilizia <\/strong>will be organized by Piemmeti SpA and take place in <strong>Verona from 14 to 17 March 2013<\/strong>. Just a few months before the start, the anticipation is growing for the most significant event in the world of wood. This traditional material has managed to establish itself on the construction scene thanks to the use of innovative models and its importance in the building trade is continuing to increase.<\/div>\n<div>The number of professionals, designers and members of the trade is expected to be much higher than in the past. There were more than 21,000 visitors at the 2011 event, many of whom came from the South of Italy. A very sizeable contingent also travelled from other countries. Due to the increase in numbers, from this year the event will take place in the prestigious Pavilions 2 and 3, near the main entrance to Verona exhibition centre.<\/div>\n<div>As always, <strong><span>Legno&amp;Edilizia <\/span><\/strong>will host <strong>professional refresher and training meetings<\/strong> organized by associations, companies and universities. At the last event, more than 1,200 people took part in these initiatives.<\/div>\n<div>Piemmeti is lining up a large number of encounters with distinguished speakers to satisfy the extremely demanding visitors, who are showing more and more interest in the use of wood in a range of construction solutions, as well as in engineered wood products, complementary materials, finishing products, and the technical and regulatory matters associated with this new approach to construction. A &ldquo;<strong>Convention\/event<\/strong>&rdquo; will take an in-depth look at one of the highly topical subjects that will be covered at the fair: the <strong>behaviour of wood in the event of an earthquake<\/strong> and the most appropriate <strong>construction methods<\/strong>. Given the importance of these matters, the convention will be split into several modules and spread over a number of days. There will be a big focus on the world of sawmills as part of a special format and a larger demonstration and exhibition area than in the past will be available for the usual display of the different phases in the wooden-structure design and construction process. This part of the fair is a place for gaining knowledge and above all experience of the most innovative technological solutions for wellbeing in the home, energy savings and environmental friendliness.
