\nThe picture that emerged from the meeting shows signs of optimism on the economy as a whole, with signs of recovery for Italy already on the second half of 2013, while the notes remain painful for the furniture industry. In Italy, in fact, in 2011-2012, production decreased by 11 percent and it is expected that in 2013 there will be a further decline of 3 percent, also at constant prices.
\nThere will be a slight increase in exports (more than 1 percent), a positive trend that will be even more important in 2014, but not enough to compensate the weakness of the domestic market. So, to have good news we have to wait until 2015, while the rest of the things in the world have improved significantly, with a demand for furniture in the world grewing by 3 percent.
\nFor 2013 is expected a decline in consumption in Western Europe (less 1 percent), in counterbalance with the dynamics of North America (plus 2 percent), Eastern Europe (plus 2.8 percent), Middle East, Africa and South America (plus 3.9 percent) and the strong growth in the Asia-Pacific area (plus 6.6 per cent), which will undoubtedly be the most attractive market in the coming years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
