Everything is ready now: in few days the doors of 2011 edition of Interzum<\/b> – the Queen of all the exhibitions dedicated to supplies, semifinished products and materials for the furniture industry –  will be open.<\/p>\n

In the last issues of Xylon (Italianwoodtech) we have been talking several times about the meeting that will be held in Cologne from May 25 to 28 but we think it proper to sum up the most interesting elements – according to us – in this issue of our magazine that will be also distributed in the halls of the exhibition.<\/div>\n
Starting from 1,400 exhibitors<\/b> (70 percent of foreign companies, of which 268 Italian organizations<\/b>, more or less10 percent higher than 2009) that will cover ten halls featuring an exhibition surface of<\/b> 150 thousand square meters<\/b>. Several excellent organizations will attend; well, we could say that (almost) nobody is missing, also in view of excellent comebacks.<\/div>\n
As we have already said, Interzum has stilled all doubts and it has become the leader among the events of the industries it represents, the place where all operators can meet their ideal reference points and people. An event that features an important international value and that has been investing resources and energies to enhance the importance of the exhibition-sales section for some years.<\/div>\n
Undoubtedly, a choice that has a relevant influence and that has allowed Interzum to be a meeting place not only for business men but also for researchers, technical operators, representatives of Universities, Research Centers. There are also people dealing with styles, trends and fashion because interior design and its gurus cannot ignore events such as Interzum, where decoration, style, design are increasingly perceivable and perceived.<\/div>\n

One of the most interesting areas will be the one focused on “<\/b>Function & Parts”<\/b> (Hall 7 and 8) and “Components & Ergonomics”<\/b> (Hall 5.2), basically hardware, semifinished products and components. We are talking about two “industries” that have been always representing the supporting pillars of Interzum, but that this year have experienced a real “exhibitors’ run” to get square meters in the best positions. We are talking about the first topic areas that have been sold completely, already from different months ago.<\/div>\n

INTERZUM AWARD<\/div>\n
One of the key-topic on which Interzum visitors have been always focusing is the opportunity to touch and see innovation. For a few years now, this has been eased by “Interzum Award”, an award that – also thanks to a special presentation – is given to companies presenting solutions that offer new opportunities as to furniture production. According to us, an award that – in a period characterized by consumers’ low propensity to invest – becomes important because only if you create new products with innovative, more appealing and unexpected features you can boost demand.<\/div>\n
Thus, in Cologne we will focus on “Interzum Award” as well. The jury has been constantly involved in the selection of the winners among 208 products from 124 companies coming from 19 Countries, an absolute record of this “event in the event”.<\/div>\n
Eight products have been included in “The best of the best” category (including Arpa Industriale<\/b> with “Naturalia”); 35 have been labeled with “high product quality” brand. We are pleased to announce that Cleaf<\/b> got three awards (“Tss 3d Yosemite”, “Tss Nadir” e “Tss spigato”), Italiana Ferramenta<\/b> got one (“Liku”), and Pamar<\/b> three (“Loop”, “Rod” e “Rock”)<\/div>\n
