155 Acimall member companies<\/b> will present their solutions during the next edition of Ligna, <\/b>scheduled on 18-22 May 2009 in Hannover. They are part of an extremely competing group which represents a significant percentage of all the Italian exhibitors attending the German biennial event (276). These companies – never like this year – aim to collect encouraging signals during an economic season full of worries. “We have deployed an institutional presence to support Italian organizations, as usual”<\/i>, said Paolo Zanibon<\/b>, Director of Acimall. “Ligna is definitely one of the most important events in our industry and, for this reason, we have been always organizing a specific promotional campaign. This year we have rather toned down since we have respected the choice of several companies to reduce exhibition spaces or to miss the German event”.<\/p>\n
<\/i>The reduction of demand for instrumental goods is influencing the industry even if entrepreneurs are waiting – confidently – for the first “smells” (or real market signals) indicating that the “cask” is empty and that the situation can only improve with a trend inversion or with some positive signals from the market. As usual, Italian organizations will exhibit state-of-the-art solutions as to process innovation in several industries: from finishing (a key-topic of our technology) to conventional machines (often “re-designed” to be more and more innovative and performing), from tools (considerably “influencing” the performances of a machine or a plant ) to panel machining – one of the aces-in-the-hole of “made in Italy” technology.<\/p>\n
VISIT OF US DELEGATION
\nThe Italian excellence has been recently confirmed by the recent visit of teachers and students from the Georgia Institute of Technology of Atlanta (Usa)<\/b>. The project – developed thanks to the cooperation between Acimall and Ice (Italian Foreign Trade Institute) – allowed Us participants to come to Italy and compare the technology level of Italian production processes with the requirements of Us companies operating in the furniture industry.
