Durability has always been the most important evaluation criteria for coating products used on wood joinery for exteriors. Thanks to “Hydroplus<\/b>”, the Sayerlack<\/b>’s waterborne coating  (www.sayerlack.it<\/a><\/i>), the durability of painted wood joinery for exteriors has progressed by leaps and bounds.
\nThese products, developed to reduce the absorption of humidity and the sun’s rays as well as to protect against fungus and mold, guarantee improved durability for exterior joinery and a reduction in solvent emissions.
\nThe “Hydro Gold” line represents the premium line of Hydroplus coatings for exteriors.
\nThese are products whose formulation is guaranteed by an industrial patent<\/b>, valid both in Italy and abroad.
\nThe “Hydro Gold” products are the results of a three-year long research project that ended when Sayerlack reached an important goal: guaranteeing its clients a coating system with excellent performance that lasts ten<\/b> years on windows and six years on outdoor shutters.
\n<\/b>The guarantee is 12 years for windowsand eight for outdoor shutters if the client follows the maintenance program with Sayerlack’s “Linea Blu”wood care products.
\nIn the past the durability of coated joinery systems was determined by methods which resulted in a guarantee that was not 100 percent assured, this was confusing to many specifiers, users and customers and didn’t provide adequate confidence. In 1999 Sayerlack developed the “Hydro Gold”<\/b>, to focus its efforts into a project to achieve a real and long-term guarantee.
\nFor the “Hydro Gold” project, Sayerlack worked in the research laboratories of its raw material manufacturers to develop new chemical compounds. For example, it worked with the University of Bologna to validate the research method and results and with Q-Lab – Weathering Research Service in Florida to test natural aging resistance in severe climates.<\/p>\n
