More than 95 million ha are now certified to FSC&#8217;s high social and environmental standards in over 85 countries. This represents the equivalent of 7% of forests identified primarily for production by FAO. Moreover, 7,873 wood-paper-paste companies have been FSC certified in 84 countries. In several areas, FSC has become a truly robust system.<br \/>\nIn the Netherlands, the FSC logo is used for 13% of wood within the building industry. In the same country, the FSC logo is well known by 60% of consumers so much that it is the fourth best-known trademark. The international center of the Forest Stewardship Council launched a market information pack &#8211; FSC Market Info Pack &#8211; to ensure upgraded figures on the state of the art of certification and FSC products market.
