The forthcoming event, the 2nd<\/sup> Economic forum of Polish wood and furniture industry “Polwood 2008<\/strong>”, takes place on 2nd<\/sup> April 2008<\/strong> in pavilion 11 in Poznan International Fair during Drema International fair of machines and tools for timber industry (www.polwood.pl<\/a><\/em>).<\/div>\n
The first Economic forum of Polish wood and furniture industry “Polwood 2007” has brought many answers about the state of wood and furniture industry sector and perspectives of its development.<\/div>\n
Honorable guests from Poland and abroad summarized some issues which are very specific for polish economy such as unequal division of raw material, problems with receiving founds for new investments or lack of employees. The organizers, Investor Publishing House and Poznan International Fair have proved that Polwood is an appropriate place for dialogue between timber industries, government representatives, economic analytics and scientists.<\/div>\n
The Forum will be opened with the presentation of the findings of the research carried out by Investor Publishing House in cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers. In the research, companies which use wood or wood-derived products in production process or in services, have been analyzed. These are the most important data, which determine decisions about direction of expansion of wood and furniture industry companies in Poland. And those data will be the base for discussion between scientists, analytics and entrepreneurs.<\/div>\n
The forum “Polwood” is dedicated to all the people involved in development of Polish wood and furniture industry. The invitations were send to the decision persons and owners of the companies in the wood and furniture industry.<\/div>\n
The forum is divided into three discussion panels, each lasting about one hour. In each of the panels the experts in their sectors will take part. They will give the opinion about the findings of the researche and will take part in the discussion.<\/div>\n
On the closure of “Polwood 2008”, the Polwood statuette for the best investition of the 2007 year will be presented. The Polwood Prize<\/strong> is the prestige distinction of the wood and furniture industry leader, who is the role model. The winner will be selected out of the group of companies nominated by the representatives of each sector, according to economic and social criteria.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
