Lamello, a company specialized in the development of joining systems, has recently introduced “LC P-16”, a solution designed for lightweight panels that enables stable, detachable connections without the use of adhesives or inserted solid-wood strips. The goal is to combine production efficiency, material savings and aesthetic quality, while opening new application possibilities in furniture, interior fittings and vehicle construction.<\/p>\n
“LC P-16” is based on the “P-System” technology and is compatible with “Clamex” elements. Thanks to its width, it anchors to the cover layers and acts as an adapter for inserting the “Clamex P-14” connector, ensuring detachable and reliable assemblies even in lightweight panels. The elimination of the solid-wood strip simplifies processing, reduces time and material consumption and makes the gluing phase unnecessary. The connector is simply inserted, enabling a faster and more streamlined production and assembly process, without compromising stability or aesthetics.<\/p>\n
The new solution is fully compatible with the entire “Clamex” family. “LC P-16” provides a stable anchor for the “Clamex P-14” half-connector with hook on the panel edge, while on the surface it is possible to use the “Clamex P-10” version or, depending on requirements, “Clamex P-14 Flexus” or “Clamex P-14 CNC”. In cases where the cover layer exceeds four millimeters, the “Clamex P-14” half-connector without hook, with reduced profile at the ends, also represents a valid alternative.<\/p>\n
To ensure maximum adaptability, Lamello offers “LC P-16” in three dimensional variants \u2013 11, 17 and 22 millimeters \u2013 covering the most common types of lightweight composite panels. Processing can be carried out with the “Zeta P2” biscuit joiner or, even more efficiently, with cnc machining centers. A dedicated configurator supports users in determining the correct product dimensions and milling positions for each application.<\/p>\n
The range of applications is wide: from panels with honeycomb cores in cardboard, pet or pp, to corrugated wood fiber or rigid foam materials such as “XPS”, with cover layers in mdf, hdf, particleboard or hpl; from lightweight particleboard with weak intermediate layers, to suspended furniture, large-span shelves or systems designed for trade fair and shop fittings, where weight reduction translates into logistic advantages. “LC P-16” is also suitable for interior fittings in caravans, motorhomes and boats, providing stable solutions even for ninety-degree joints starting from twelve millimeters and one-hundred-eighty-degree joints from sixteen millimeters.<\/p>\n
