The list of exhibitors<\/b> has been online for months, the exhibition space is \u201csold out\u201d<\/b>, and registrations<\/b>, opened just a few days ago, confirm strong interest from industry professionals.<\/p>\n
\u201cExpectations are therefore for a confirmation of the figures from the last edition: just under 700 exhibitors<\/b>, more than 30 percent of them from abroad, 20,000 net square meters<\/b> of exhibition space, and a large turnout expected from over one hundred countries. These figures reflect the well-established scenario in which SICAM has been operating for several editions now,\u201d<\/em> the organizers said in a recent press release.<\/p>\n Despite a still complex context, the recently concluded Milan Design Week pointed to a generally optimistic atmosphere: the furniture sector came together with renewed energy and a willingness to look ahead, confirming positive expectations for the future. Not surprisingly, many of the themes that emerged in the last edition of SICAM were also reflected in the innovations presented at the Salone. This atmosphere is likely to accompany the sector towards the next appointment in Pordenone, offering another opportunity to meet again.<\/p>\n \u201cThe sector undoubtedly needs the optimism, opportunities and willingness to connect that have always characterized SICAM,\u201d<\/em> commented Carolina Giobbi<\/b>, Head of Marketing and Communication. \u201cNow more than ever, there is a need for a trade fair that is pleasant to experience but also highly concrete, where the product remains at the center; a place dedicated to business, where everything needed for the furniture of tomorrow can be found. This year\u2019s \u201croad map\u201d began in Lyon, France \u2014 Eurobois, February 3\u20136 \u2014 followed by Bangalore, India \u2014 Indiawood, February 26\u2013March 2; Birmingham, UK \u2014 KBB, March 1\u20134; Athens, Greece \u2014 Medwood, March 27\u201330; and Sofia, Bulgaria \u2014 Technomebel, March 31\u2013April 3. The journey continues.<\/p>\n These meetings and initiatives create opportunities for new collaborations. One example is the agreement with the Economic Assembly of Uzbekistan<\/b>, an organization that promotes the country\u2019s economy.
