Ecodesign in Argentina

After the success recorded last September in Lisbon by the inauguration of “Remade in Portugal”, a selection of “Remade in Italy” products was moved to Argentina where the second edition of “Remade in Argentina(www.cienporciento.net/home) was held in Buenos Aires last October 19 to 27.
Cooperation between Italy and Argentina on the issue of ecodesign is increasing, with more and more joint initiatives including the exhibition of “Remade in Argentina” items at “Remade in Italy” during the next Fuori Salone del Mobile 2008.
Citizens and companies are protagonists in an event that involves them in classified waste collection and material recycling. The success of “Remade in Italy” in Italy and in the world has gone beyond expectations: this is a project by Region Lombardy, coordinated by Cestec and executed in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of the Environment and with the Italian recycling consortiums Cial, Comico and Co.re.pla.
After Buenos Aires, the products will be exhibited in Santiago de Chile for the inauguration of “Remade in Chile”. A protocol of understanding has been recently signed by the President of Lombardy, Roberto Formigoni, and the Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alejandro Foxley, to strengthen the collaboration between the two countries in some areas like environmental protection, sustainable development, trade, cultural and technological exchange.
