Ica Group’s brand new water finish for external windows

Ica from Civitanova Marche (www.icaspa.com), specializing in special wood coatings production and sales, has designed the “La4091” new paint suitable for external windows, using its own know-how in the filed of nanotechnology.

Benefits derived from nanomaterial applications (tiny particles up to 20 nanometres) give perfect transparency with high resistance to scratching and external agents.

The new Ica topcoat can be applied by spraying with cup, airmix, airless or electrostatic guns.During the application process, a uniform thickness film is obtained even in difficult areas to reach, thanks to its high enveloping power in electrostatic conditions. Moreover, overspray and consumption can be dramatically reduced.  From a technical point of view, “La4091” finish is different from the others because of its high water resistance and high transpiration capacity to water vapor. It also gives lower surface degradation after the accelerated aging test.  As for look and appearance, the product features perfect transparency and very high wettability with perfect pore definition, so as to prevent possible swellings and so-called “plasticized effect”.    Besides, “La4091” finish gives a pleasant velvet touch.
