9 out of 10 architects and construction engineers are familiar with Bau

Nine out of ten architects and construction engineers are familiar with Bau (www.bau-muenchen.de). And in future a good half of all German design professionals in the building sector are planning to visit Bau. These are the findings of a recent deutschesarchitektenpanel survey.
The findings emerged from a representative survey of the German market, conducted by teleResearch and diemedia in May 2009. 203 telephone interviews were conducted with architects and construction engineers in positions of responsibility around the country.
It revealed that among German architects and construction engineers, Bau is by far the most well known trade fair for the sector. One third of all architects and construction engineers had visited the trade fair for architecture, materials, systems in the previous 24 months, and as many as one in two intend to visit it in the future.
Particularly highly rated are the aspects of breadth and depth of the range of products and services (rated 1.9 in the German school marking system, 1 being high and 6 being low), the quality of exhibitors (2.0), the innovations strength of the fair (2.1) and the accompanying programme and the opportunities it presents for extending one´s own knowledge base (1.9).
The next BAU takes place from 17 to 22 January 2011 in Munich.
