Woodworking machinery: Istat figures

Some figures from the woodworking world. The Istat figures concerning the woodworking machinery industry (tools excluded) in the period January-June 2009 showed an export value of 392.4 million euros (-48.5 percent compared to the same period in 2008) and import worth 50.2 million euros (-48.5 percent vs. 2008).
The situation does not seem so critical if we analyze only the figures of the month of June, according to which a 4.6 percent export increase (that is 64.2 million euros) and a 4 percent import increase (7.7 million euros) were recorded compared to May.
