Great success for Scm Group’s technologies at Ligna 2015

Presented live with the “Streaming Innovation” concept Ligna confirms the positive results of the Group.

It has been a very important event for us. Not just because we received a great deal of interest from visitors from across the globe, but also because we were able to demonstrate our true nature and what Scm Group is capable of”. This is how Andrea Aureli, Scm Group’s Ceo, described his satisfaction with the Group’s successful participation at the large biennial event dedicated to wood working technologies.

With the large “Streaming Innovation” installation, which contributed to strengthening our presence in the exhibition area,we wanted to show who we are. In other words a large group of specialists that is able to create a
flow of technological innovations which are perfectly integrated with each other.just like the various types of wood that come together and create a large access portal to the group’s innovative technologies”.
For our Group Ligna 2015  was one of the most successful trade fairs  of recent years, in line with a period of significant results. In 2014 the Group’s consolidated financial statement reached 466 million Euro of revenue, up 4.3 percent compared to the previous year a nd with a good financial stability”, continued Andrea Aureli.
.
We have also approved an ambitious three year plan of investments and achieved excellent endorsements from the market in the initial months of the year, such as the important order worth15 million Euro from a prestigious Chinese client, followed by the order of a large plant in the United Kingdom for a value of 6 million Euro. A confirmation of our leadership also in the creation of advanced and complex production systems”.”The 96,000 visitors to Ligna, 40,000 of which international visitors, were able to get to know Scm Group’s extensive and complete range of technologies. We presented over 60 machines,3 systems of integrated and intelligent production cells across 4 specific stands in 4 different pavilions covering a surface of 4,000 square metres. Our team of over 300 specialists were on hand and ready to listen to the specific and unique requirements of each visitor, resolve the new production situations and propose a winning flow of technological solutions, perfectly integrated with each other”.

STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGY FOR ALL USES
The “Smart Manufacturing Cells”, systems consisting of integrated cells (two for furniture production, one for door and window frames) were a strong feature of Scm Group’s presence at Ligna 2015. This technological solution is increasingly important for companies looking for greater production flexibility and solutions that can easily adapt to hanging market demands. Pavilion 25 also featured numerous presentations of the latest developments and products, from the furniture machining centres (“Morbidelli Planet P800”, “Morbidelli Powerflex S”, “Morbidelli Cyflex hp”) to a veritable revolution in edgebanding  technologies featured in the “Stefani Edgebanding Hub”. From the interesting sanding features with structured effect by Dmc to the new Scm “Accord 25 fx”, a door and window frame machining centre with its significant machining potential.
Visitors were able to try first – hand the ease of use, effectiveness and power of the advanced programming featured in the new software developed by Scm Group in a special area with eight workstations.
In line with the “innovation where it’s needed and for those who need it” strategy Scm Group presented its wide range of solutions not only in the main stand in pavilion 25, but also in three stands across three other pavilions. All the latest finishing products were displayed in pavilion 16; all those interested in building with wood headed for pavilion 15 for the presentation  of Routech’s “Oikos” machining centre with six interpolating axes, a first for Hannover ; pavilion 11 featured a large area for  woodworking workshops and a 1969 Fiat 500 L covered with 50
00 cubes made of  200 different types of wood by the artist Luciano Molinari. A striking feature that will be long remembered by visitors to Ligna 2015.
Ligna 2015 has allowed us to confirm our market leadership”, continued Andrea Aureli,“which is a result of our most important strength: our ability to control the entire process with our specialist brands and our specialists, through innovation and quality, the pillars of our success”.“My  thanks for this excellent edition of Ligna, which remains the most important event for the wood working sector, go to all the clients, commercial partners, the Hannover fair team and our competitors with whom we lived and shared these stimulating days. And most importantly I want to thank Scm Group’s team of specialists, technicians, designers, salesmen, collaborators and all those that allowed us to improve the quality of  our products, design, production, marketing, sales and service.
