Machine tool orders: growth in 2Q 2015

In the second quarter of 2015, the index of machine tool orders, processed by Ucimu-Sistemi per Produrre, registered an increase of 30 percent compared to the same period last year.
Therefore for seven consecutive quarters is continuing the positive trend registered by the index of machine tool orders of Italian manufacturers that, as it happened throughout 2014, even in the first two quarters of 2015 recorded the best performance in the domestic market.
The index of domestic orders in fact marked a new increase, up 46.7 percent compared with the period from April to June 2014. The index of new orders abroad was up by 26.1 percent.
The data analysis, conducted through the system of mobile average, which detects the trend of the last four quarters, allowing it to dampen the effect of seasonal factors calculated from the different collection of orders in different quarters, recorded today a value of 126.5 (base year 2010 = 100).
