1. How are you reacting to this emergency?

“Strangely I had no shocking reaction. At first I was thinking about me being an animal in a cage, the paternal relationship with the company interrupted, and all sorts of thoughts like these.
In reality it was like a ceasefire in what is a perennial battle of protecting the company, finding new markets, making new products and all the subjects that daily are on your desk. Everybody had to stop and stay in a time suspended in the clouds
From a very personal point of view living in the countryside with all my family around has helped me enormously and I have been focused on the family much more. However it has also been an exceptional and positive time to think about the company, of strategy, of future, the road that the woodworking manufacturing will be taking in the coming years technologically and we must adapt and plan for this”.

2. What do you think is changing or will change radically?

“As I was saying the company is going to have to have a new approach throughout our business with the future needs of our customers and cutting edge technology very much in the forefront of our plans.
Covid 19 has also taught the world that digital technology can save companies time and money. I think much more business will be done with conferencing platforms and web marketing, leaving more time and funds to improve products, do research and innovate”.

3. What should the authorities and all of us do?

“In one word less burocracy and a more accommodating approach to small exporting companies like our selves”.
