SCM: le novità a Dach+Holz International 2026
SCM returns to Dach+Holz International with the latest technological and digital innovations designed to meet the most complex production requirements of today’s industry. “A proposal – the group explained in a press release issued a few weeks before the event – that starts from one goal: helping modern carpenters adopt faster and smarter processes across a wide range of application areas: structural beams, CLT panels for walls and floors, prefabricated walls, roofs, trusses, and insulating panels”.
LE TECNOLOGIE
For this reason, among the key technologies showcased at the SCM stand will be the five-axis CNC machining center “oikos xs 650”, a “smart” machine designed to achieve the highest possible level of versatility and precision.
Designed for the production of beams with cross-sections ranging from 40×20 millimeters up to 650×310 millimeters, “oikos xs 650” features a telescopic support for highly precise machining, a full-stroke integrated clamp, and up to nine operating units. These allow machining on all six faces of the beam in a single pass, without rotating the workpiece. This ensures high productivity and high-quality finishing with a compact footprint and contained costs.
This new solution, like all SCM CNC machines for timber construction, is also equipped with the “Maestro lab beam&wall” programming software, developed by SCM and fully compatible with the most widely used CAD systems in the structural timber industry.
Integrated with the HMI “Maestro active beam&wall”, the software supports programming both from an office PC and directly at the machine, increasing operational flexibility and overall efficiency.
The machining center is also equipped with SCM’s IoT system for real-time monitoring of connected machine performance.
“AREA GL”: MODULAR CNC TECHNOLOGY
Making its debut at Dach+Holz International is the latest addition to SCM’s range of solutions for timber construction: “area gl”, a five-axis CNC machining center designed for the production of straight and curved glued-laminated timber elements intended for roofs of public buildings, multi-storey buildings, and infrastructure projects.
With a solid mobile gantry structure and a working area up to 5 meters wide and over 50 meters long, “area gl” enables complete machining of all six faces of the workpiece without repositioning, thanks to vacuum supports for thicknesses up to 550 millimeters.
The modular configuration, with fixed or movable bar table options, ensures maximum production flexibility; a special system of movable safety partitions enables pendulum machining, with easy access to the working area.
“The equipment with a 30 kW effective working unit – the press release explains – guarantees high performance, precision, and reliability in the execution of large architectural projects designed using the leading CAD systems in the industry”.

“OIKOS X+”
Also highlighted is “oikos x+”, the CNC machining center specifically designed for high-volume production of solid wood and glued-laminated beams, with a maximum cross-section of 1,250×300 millimeters, ideal for roofs, residential buildings, and public structures.
The “oikos x+” is equipped with a six-axis operating unit with automatic tool change, capable of performing all necessary machining operations on structural beams, wooden boxes, and CLT panels, with high flexibility and finishing quality; a five-axis operating unit with a 900 mm blade ensures higher productivity and cutting capacity, even on large beams, and is ideal for deep cuts increasingly required in structural applications.
With a cutting depth of up to 300 millimeters and the ability to handle beams up to 300 millimeters thick, “oikos x+” meets a wide range of production requirements. Its robust structure ensures high precision and excellent absorption of machining stresses, making it the optimal choice for carpenters working with glued-laminated timber and focused on maximum productivity.

“CELASCHI XL” AND “DMC SYSTEM XL”
DACH+HOLZ 2026 – SCM representatives explained – will also be an opportunity to present the new “celaschi xl”, a double-end profiler dedicated to optimizing production flows in CLT processing.
The machine allows certain operations to be shifted from the CNC machining center to the profiler, ensuring higher productivity and maximum precision in profiling and squaring CLT walls.
“Four 44 kW electrospindles on each side of the machine provide the power required to perform profiling and notching in a single pass, even on high-density elements. The solid structure and the use of high-end industrial components minimize vibrations, ensuring superior surface quality. The chain transport system guarantees smooth and precise feeding, even for large-format and thick panels“, the release continues.
The HMI software “Maestro active square”, managed via the “eye-M PRIME” touchscreen console, enables full machine control, simplifying programming and reducing operator training times.

Completing the SCM range for CLT panel processing is “dmc system xl”, an automatic calibrating–sanding machine which, thanks to its modules, allows both faces of CLT panels to be processed up to 3,700 millimeters wide and 500 mm thick.
“The high configuration versatility is ensured by the possibility of combining lower roller units, upper/lower pads and cross units”.
The machine is designed for long service life and to withstand the most intensive machining operations thanks to its steel structure, which eliminates vibrations.
Energy saving is a key aspect: the machine has been designed with an optimized layout to minimize compressed air consumption. This solution improves surface finishing quality and increases the value of the finished product.
