Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026: moderate growth and continued international reach

30/04/2026

The 2026 edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano closed with 316,342 attendees, marking a 4.5% increase compared to 2025. While the figure shows growth, it comes within a broader international context shaped by economic and geopolitical uncertainty.

With visitors from 167 countries, the event maintained a strong international profile. The share of foreign operators stood at 68%, in line with the previous year. This confirms the Salone’s role as a platform connecting supply and demand in the furniture and design sectors.

Participation and structure of the offering

The 2026 edition brought together 1,900 brands from 32 countries, providing a broad overview of industrial production and contemporary design. Over six days, the fair hosted industry professionals including buyers, designers, retailers, and media, reinforcing its role as a professional meeting point.

Among the thematic sections, EuroCucina and the Salone Internazionale del Bagno, together with the FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) area, continued to represent relevant segments linked to the evolution of domestic spaces and the integration of technology and design.

Visitor origins: mixed signals

The geographic distribution of visitors shows some variation. China remains the leading country in terms of number of operators. In Europe, increases were recorded for Germany (+5.1%) and Spain (+8.7%), alongside more significant growth for Austria (+15.7%) and Belgium (+7.3%). Poland saw more limited growth (+2.1%), while France remained stable.

Among non-European markets, attendance from the United States (+8.8%) and the United Kingdom (+10.4%) increased. More substantial rises, albeit from smaller bases, were reported for Canada (+28%) and Mexico (+15%). Some emerging regions, including Brazil and South Korea, also showed growth.

An edition in continuity

Overall, the 2026 Salone del Mobile.Milano confirms the main indicators of recent editions, with moderate attendance growth and stable international participation. In a complex market environment, the event maintains its position as a reference point for the sector, without significant changes in its organizational model or overall structure.
