Dürr, new metering pump for industrial coating applications

The new “EcoPump GW iD” is designed for 1K and 2K coating materials and covers flow rates from 9 to 900 millilitres per minute. Features include an ADLC coating, an optional bypass valve and compatibility with Dürr’s Fluid Board systems.

Dürr is expanding its range of industrial coating solutions with the new “EcoPump GW iD“, a gear metering pump developed for use with 1K single-component and 2K two-component coating materials.

The new series is designed for applications requiring precise and consistent volumetric delivery, with flow rates ranging from 9 to 900 millilitres per minute. The pump is also compatible with Dürr’s “ready2integrate” concept, which combines the control system, metering technology and applicator in a predefined configuration, with the aim of simplifying installation and process integration.

To meet the durability and reliability requirements of industrial coating processes, all models are equipped as standard with an amorphous diamond-like carbon (ADLC) coating, designed to reduce component wear and maintain consistent metering performance over time.

The “EcoPump GW iD” can also be equipped with an optional bypass valve which, in addition to providing pressure relief, opens automatically in the event of overpressure, helping to protect downstream equipment. Washable models also feature a patented shaft bearing designed to extend pump service life and reduce maintenance requirements.

In terms of integration, the new pump can be used within the compact “Fluid Board2” system, which combines the components required for paint metering. For existing applications, compatibility with “Fluid Board1” is also available, while the “EcoPump GW iD” can also be installed as a standalone component in existing systems.
