Weinig: 15 millions euros investment in panel processing division

The Weinig Group has announced a 15 million euros investment in its Panel Processing division to promote its Holz-Her subsidiary. With this investment it is expected that the company, which has been part of the group since 2010, will significantly increase its capacity and enable further growth after the investments in 2018 and 2019. For this reason, the board of directors and supervisory board have agreed on an investment program for the near future which includes a new warehouse and a new steel processing center and the expansion of the assembly area to 1,700 square meters.

Logistics will also be redesigned at the production site, with new high-level automation warehouses (for pallets, bars and small parts) and an expansion of the showroom followed by the restructuring of the offices at the Voitsberg headquarters. The investment of 15 million euros, therefore, will not only increase production capacity, but will also create space to expand the company’s product portfolio in the future.
