Scm Group presents the “Tandem” line

A full immersion in edgebanding was held in Thiene on June 29 and 30, in the facilities of Stefani. Open doors to present “Tandem”, the new edge-banding and squaring line developed by Scm Group Engineering for the big furniture industry. Selected customers – 220 visitors from 80 companies among the leading furniture and kitchen manufacturers of Central-Northern Italy, plus representatives from the Netherlands, Spain, Brazil – could see the new line operating in the facility, as well as the “Pilot” vertical drilling machine by Rem, which recorded successful results at Ligna 2009, “Evolution SB One” single-side batch one squaring machine, “Level KS” edgebanding machine by Idm (with loading unit for panels with inclined sides) and flexible squaring-edgebanding machinery “Evolution Flex” by Stefani. The innovation for lightweight panel edgebanding, “Light Panel Technology” by Stefani, was also revived. Participants could also visit the Stefani facility, with a new organization based on Lean Production methods.
