Vdm reconsiders its forecasts

According to official statistics, the turnover of German furniture manufacturers fell by 14.8 percent in the period January-April 2009: the domestic market recorded a reduction of 13.8 percent and export decreased by 17.6 percent (with different results in each segment).
Dirk Uwe Klaas, director of Vdm, said that the forecasts indicating a stable situation provided at the beginning of the year were optimistic.
