Furniture in Germany

During the annual press release for the presentation of Cologne furniture exhibition, Dirk Uwe Klaas, director of Vdm, the furniture manufacturers’ association, estimated for the furniture industry a turnover increase of 2-2.5 percent, with a slight improvement in comparison with previous forecasts. In fact, on last August, an increase of 1-2 percent was foreseen. Less optimistic are the indications for the year 2009, since no increases are foreseen.
