New acquisition for Homag Group

As per 1^st January 2009, Homag Group has acquired 51 percent of Haslach-based company Benz. Benz is specialized in the manufacturing of tools and aggregates for wood, metal and plastic materials industry.
The remaining share is kept by Zimmer, the sole owner of the company so far. The acquisition also concerns the wood part of Zimmer GmbH.
The new company has 250 employees and a turnover of 35 million euroa is forecast for the year 2009.
Either Benz or Zimmer Group are Homag Group partners since many years, supplying them components, tools and aggregates.
Even after the acquisition Benz will remain an independent company, keeping its name and will continue to supply their customers under the guide of the new management.
Benzi s owning a wide know-how on splindles,bearings, reducers, mainly well-known for their precision.
