Positive start for “Klimaenergy”

These are the results in brief for the first edition of “Klimaenergy” (www.klima-energy.it), the tradeshow for renewable energy for commercial use, which opened its gates in Bolzano on Friday, October 10.
At “Klimaenergy 08”, more than 170 companies presented new technologies and concepts for energy savings through the use of renewable energies to those responsible for energy matters in the public sphere as well as to companies from energy-intensive sectors.  The target group was reached very successfully: a total of 4,824 visitors from the sector came to Bolzano for “Klimaenergy” from all over Italy.  From a survey that was provided by the Bolzano exhibition center to 218 visitors, it emerges that nearly 60 percent of the visitors came to Bolzano from outside of South Tyrol, but also from Central and Southern Italy as well as Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.  With the visitors from the sector, a general satisfaction prevailed: a total of 98.7 percent had a positive impression that was either good (64.7 percent) or very good (19.3 percent), with 14.4 percent indicating that they were satisfied with the first edition, and only 1.3 percent expressing themselves negatively.  Over 70 percent of those surveyed came to “Klimaenergy” for professional reasons. A total of 43.1 percent of those surveyed were entrepreneurs, 28.0 percent were employees, 14.2 percent were managers, 5.5 percent were general managers, and 9.2 percent did not specify their function within there company. The sectors with the greatest representation were the areas of energy supply and construction installation, followed by engineers and designers, as well as public administration, agriculture, and the hotel sector.  
The “Klimaenergy” tradeshow lasted for three days and was accompanied by excursions, company presentations, a specialized conference, and meetings of business associations. Within the framework of the accompanying events, all aspects of energy savings and the use of renewable energies were on display, with around 1,100 visitors from the sector participating.
