Record growth for Italian export to India

According to the latest official statistics by the Indian government, during the last financial year 2006-2007, trade exchange between Italy and India has grown by 43 percent, up to 6,257 billion dollar. Italian export has increased by 44.13 percent, surpassing the major international competitors. With these results, Italy has been able to expand its market share in India, catching up with France that was a long way ahead.
This is a reward for intensive activity on the Indian market promoted by the Italian government in collaboration with Confindustria and the leading Italian industry associations.
