Altendorf introduces new F 30 sliding table saw for the craft segment
Altendorf has introduced the new F 30 sliding table saw for the craft segment. The model expands the German manufacturer’s portfolio, positioning itself between the F 25 and F 35, and is intended for businesses requiring precision, stability, and straightforward operation. The machine is derived from the further development of the WA-8/80 series and is designed for conventional woodworking applications, while incorporating updated features.
The F 30 is built on a five-sided closed machine stand with a tubular frame construction, a configuration aimed at ensuring rigidity and stability under intensive use. The machine table is made of ribbed cast iron, contributing to smooth running and consistent cutting accuracy over time. The 3,200 mm double roller carriage is based on the manufacturer’s established system and provides play-free guidance. An additional hard chrome-plated round bar is integrated as an interface for accessories and to maintain angular and dimensional accuracy.
In terms of configuration, the machine is available in several variants with progressive equipment levels. These include solutions with analog or digital displays, motorized adjustments, and CNC-supported fence systems. This modular approach allows the machine to be adapted to different operational requirements, from traditional joinery to applications requiring higher repeatability.
The base version retains a mechanical setup, with a main motor, three selectable speeds, and an analog cutting width display. Intermediate configurations introduce digital displays and motorized adjustments, as well as an integrated scoring unit for processing coated panels, aimed at reducing chipping and improving edge quality. In the most advanced version, the rip fence is CNC-controlled, enabling repeatable settings and reduced setup times. The optional DIGIT L digital length display supports measurement transfer in serial production.
The machine is equipped with main motors up to 7.5 kW and three operating speeds, along with the Pro-Lock quick-change tool system. A scoring unit is available as an option for processing coated materials.
