The latest in finishing: a look at the sector

31/03/2026

Here we are again with our “special” dedicated to finishing, to those operations that provide the essential contribution to the beauty of our window frames, our kitchens, our chairs…

Sanding and coating are, in essence, the final mile, the last indispensable step of a long process that allows us to use objects and products that are more beautiful, more pleasant to the touch, and capable of bringing elegance and comfort to the spaces we live in.

A segment in which Italy has always been at the forefront worldwide for the intelligence of its solutions and the quality of the results they deliver. Two “steps”, as we have defined them, behind which lies absolute complexity: the need to manage different worlds, starting from materials that can be extremely diverse in order to make them not only “smooth”, but also suitable to receive that layer of “coating” that will protect them and enhance their beauty and quality.

Hundreds of possible combinations that ultimately must converge into a single result: materials, abrasives, technologies, primers, finishes, ovens, pumps, spray guns, craftsmanship, lamps, application systems — all in one great melting pot from which emerges what we have always desired and can now use.

In this focus we spoke about:
Cefla Finishing
Giardina Group
Makor
Scm
Superfici
